Yesterday when my husband brought in the mail, I saw a box, and got excited. I have been awaiting my free samples of Carmex as I am part of the Carmex blog squad. I couldn't wait to tear open the box.
What a nice surprise, the Carmex samples were enclosed in a really nice black hanging toiletry bag. Included in the bag were samples of Carmex Healing Lotion, Healing Cream, Moisture Plus sticks and a flavored collection of Carmex's core products in tube, stick, and jar!
Carmex has been a part of my life since I can remember. I have always used Carmex on my lips and every time I use Carmex the smell brings back fond memories of my childhood and my grandmother. Such happy times. Carmex is always the chap stick I turn to when I have dry lips. I was happy to see that they included a sample of their lip balm that is SPF 15.
I was asked as part of the Carmex Blog Squad to review the healing lotion and cream. I was eager to try this new product. I have always had problems with dry skin and am constantly putting on lotion/cream to help keep my hands and feet from cracking.
I tried the lotion first and was at first afraid that it was going to be sticky or have the tupperware clean feel. (You know when you rub your fingers together and they kind of stick and sound like if you rub your fingers on clean tupperware. -- I hope you understand : ) ) I was happy that the lotion quickly absorbed and left my hands feeling super soft.
Then I tried the cream. This is thicker than the lotion as it should be since it is a cream. It was very nice and just as the lotion left my hands feeling super soft,. I did find out that just a little of the lotion and cream can go a long way. I initially used too much.
I do daycare from my house, so I am constantly washing my hands, which results in dry hands. I put on the lotion and cream and then washed my hands and was so excited when my hands still felt soft and moisturized. There was no need to reapply after I washed my hands.
The lotion and cream both have the traditional Carmex smell. The clean and fresh smell of Carmex is not overwhelming as some floral smells can be. As I stated above the smell brings backs very happy memories for me.
I would highly recommend the Carmex product to anyone and everyone.
